Maddie and David are making a comeback! All five seasons of the detective comedy 'Moonlighting' will make its debut, allowing both new and loyal fans to dive into the quirky cases handled by the dynamite duo, Willis and Shepherd.
The show, originally aired from 1985 to 1989, has been a fan favorite for its perfect blend of humor, mystery, and the sizzling chemistry between the lead actors. It’s hard to believed it's making its streaming debut only now.
Moonlighting has an incredible legacy, with 40 Emmy Award nominations and six wins, including a lead actor accolade for Willis. The Golden Globes also recognized the show, honoring both lead actors with awards.
Shepherd expressed her unforgettable chemistry with Willis in an interview with ET earlier this year, stating, "He walked in the room [and] my temperature went up 15 degrees. So, we had the chemistry," she disclosed that despite the palpable tension, the two never acted on it, maintaining their professional boundaries.
However, as fans across the globe anticipate the return of Moonlighting, Willis is currently facing a grave health battle. Diagnosed last year with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, the condition has significantly impacted his cognition, behavior, and speech abilities, as shared by his wife, Emma Heming Willis, on Monday's Today show.
Even in the light of his health challenges, the debut of Moonlighting on Hulu serves as a another testament to Willis' enduring legacy in the entertainment industry.
Stream 'Moonlighting' on Hulu starting October 10th.
