If you've been low-key stalking the Foo Fighters, there's good news. After a relatively quiet 2023 in terms of tours, the band has unveiled plans for a comprehensive U.S. stadium tour in 2024.
In 2023, the Foo Fighters began hinting at something new on their social channels. The speculation ended with the release of "Rescued," their first piece of music following the untimely loss of Taylor Hawkins earlier that year. With Josh Freese joining as the new touring drummer, the band showcased their evolved lineup with a performance on May 24.
June 2 saw the release of their 11th studio album, But Here We Are. This album stood out not just for its music but as a poignant tribute to Hawkins and Dave Grohl's late mother, Virginia. Notably, it brought Dave Grohl back to the drums, a position he hadn't occupied since 1997's The Colour and the Shape.
While the band did make a few appearances in 2023, mostly at festivals, 2024 is set to be a significant year. They're kicking off their headlining U.S. tour with two shows at New York's Citi Field in July. The Everything or Nothing At All tour, spanning 12 dates, will conclude in Seattle by mid-August. Based on updates from the band, there's potential for additional dates.
Supporting the Foo Fighters on select dates are The Pretenders, The Hives, Mammoth WVH, Amyl and The Sniffers, Alex G, and L7.
