White Stripes, Black Eyed Peas, or Eminem? Jeopardy! Contestants Strike Out on Music Trivia

Did you know that The White Stripes dropped a hot album called Elephant back in 2003? If so, you might've been a few bucks richer, if you were on Jeopardy this week.

During Monday's show, under the "Pop Culture 2003," category Joe was hit with this answer: "I’m cruising down to Wichita to let you in on Spin magazine’s top album of the year... It’s their Elephant.”

The correct question is, "What is White Stripes?" The reference to Wichita is from the album's opener, “Seven Nation Army.” But Joe sadly answered, “What is Black Eyed Peas?”

Now, I will say the thought of mixing up Jack and Meg White with the band who gave us “My Humps,” made me laugh, but it sounds like he just confused the Black Eyed Peas album Elephunk, also from 2003, with the correct answer, Elephant.

This wasn't the worst White Stripes trivia fumble on Jeopardy though.... Flashback to 2018, another contestant looked at a picture of Jack White and blurted out, “Who is Eminem?”

Check out the video from the Jack White Reddit page.

In other news, Elephant got a sweet reissue this year to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Here's to another 20 years!
